Winter Blast

We survived the winter blast of December 2007. We lost our power for a week, our neighbor just down the road lost there power for one day, imagine that. They must have been on a different grid. All in all we probably had about 12 to 13 people spending the night in our living room floor. Thank goodness we had a wood burning stove to keep warm by. We cooked on a propane camp stove and brewed coffee the old fashion way, with a stove top coffee pot that perked after an hour of waiting. But well worth the wait. After the storm we took tons of pictures of the broken tree limbs and the ice covered landscape. It was quite beautiful but deadly for many. Below are a couple of pics that i thought were gorgeous. Our horse just happened to be standing at the right place when i snapped the picture. He made the picture awsome!
